When John F. Moyer began offering reliable service in the plumbing and tinsmith fields around 1906, he probably didn't realize he was starting what would become one of the oldest family businesses in the Kutztown area.  John also offered Oils for stoves, along with selling the ranges and stoves.

John was proud to have two of his son's join him in the business after WWI.  Leon and H. Lawrence would continue the tradition that John started, and eventually became partners in the ownership of

Moyer Brothers.

During the 1930's, H. Lawrence decided to leave the business, at which time Leon bought out his brother, and began offering service as

Leon Moyer Plbg. & Htg.

In 1954, after Leon's untimely passing, the business was changed to Moyer Plumbing and Heating Co., under the control of

Luther W. Moyer, Leon's only son.

During the late 1950's, Luther began selling quality heating fuels and gasoline from Texaco, and in the early 1960's, he switched to offering Esso products.  Luther also began offering air conditioning sales and service in the late 1960's.

In 1985, Steven T. Moyer began working in the family business, and in 1990 became another valued full time employee.  Steven has increased his responsibilites ever since, and now is the latest Moyer to monitor and control the day to day functions of the business.

In 2010, the decision was made to update our look, and name, to better reflect the services we now offer.  Hence the name,

Moyer Plumbing * Heating * Cooling * Fuel.

Also in 2010, Steven's eldest son, Philip, began working part time in the business, becoming the fifth generation Moyer to be part of our history of service.
