Over 100 Years and On Our 4th Generation

The actual date the Moyer family first founded as a company is unsure. We have records that date back to 1906. However, It is believed that the company may have dated back farther. In 1908 John F. Moyer ran an advertisement for Tinning and Plumbing. At this time the company was located in Virginville, PA. Below is a copy of the original 1908 ad run by John F. Moyer.

The sons of John F. Moyer, H. Lawrence Moyer and Leon Moyer, went on to take over the business in 1932. The company was still located in Virginville, but the name had changed to Moyer Brothers. Moyer now provided service in plumbing, heating, roofing, and spouting. In 1941 they ran the following advertisement.

In 1948 the company went through more changes. Now operated solely by Leon Moyer and located at 105 E Main St. Kutztown. Some of you may remember Leon Moyer. He ran this ad in 1953.

In 1954 the company was incorporated as "Moyer Plumbing and Heating Company" by Leon's son Luther Moyer. Most of you know Luther and the quality work he has done for the surrounding area. Luther ran this ad in 1965.

It's now 2009 and "Moyer Plumbing and Heating Company" is still going stronger than ever. You can still find Luther at the shop, but he has passed the torch on once again to his son Steven Moyer. Steve has brought the company into the 21st century and is the 4th generation Moyer.
